Every lender will need some personal information from you
Mortgage applications mean the lenders will be looking at you and how much you can afford, they assess this through supporting documents provided. When we begin a mortgage application with you we will need you to provide as a minimum:
– Passport or drivers license
– Recent utility bill
– 3 months bank statements for all accounts held (sometimes 6 months)
– Evidence of any state benefits
We suggest obtaining a credit search on yourself to see how you score and what your report is like.
Depending on whether you are employed or self employed, we will also require (in addition to the above):
Employed: 3 months payslips (or 13 weeks if paid weekly) and latest P60.
Self employed: 2 years Self assessments (SA302’s) and tax overviews, and accounts (if applicable).
We always ask that you provide us with honest and accurate information, this way we can assess your situation properly and give advice that is right for you. Find out how much it will cost to get mortgaged.
We may require more information from you depending on your circumstances but the above is where we start.
